New customer pics...Thanks Ariana

Thank you Ariana for the wonderful compliments and for sharing these pics with us...We appreciate it so much!

"I have purchased several wall vinyls from Camille and Mike. They are wonderful people to work with and have been super quick to complete all of my orders. The vinyls have helped add personality and life to our boring blank base housing walls. I highly recommend them to others, and will continue to order from them in the future." ~Ariana

New Stuff

Check out these new designs. One are some fun vinyl wall squares and another was a quote a customer requested for above her bed. I added some flourishes that I feel represent a never ending journey. The quote reads "My love for you in a journey starting at never and ending at never"

Custom order off etsy

This was a custom order we got a few weeks ago on etsy from a really nice lady out in town. She requested that we make the word "garage" really big on her door. I designed a few layouts for her and this was the one she went with. Apparently people always confuse her garage door with her bathroom door, but I dont think that will happen again.

These decals were fun to make. These were custom made decals. Our customer sent in their artwork and asked us to make a decal out of it. I think it came out great and our customers seemed pretty happy too. The "Yankee" is actually artwork for the new Huey Yankee. The customer was really excited about seeing that artwork come to life on there wall. The helicopter above is actually the Huey Yankee too.

Decal Application tips

Thanks to all our customers who have been supporting us in our lil endeavor. Follow these tips to help relieve some of the frustration of applying your decal. Remember give yourself time and some paitence when applying your decal...dont rush! That being said here are a few pointers...When we get a minute we'll make a video.

WAIT!!! If you have just painted make sure and wait AT LEAST 10 days after you have finished before attempting to apply your decal!
  1. Smooth out your decal - First thing you need to do before you attempt to do anything else is lay your decal on a flat surface and with an ID card or squeegee (I prefer 2 ID cards when I cant find a squeegee) smooth out all the bubbles. Take your time and work from the middle out. Smooth over the actual decal really good. This is to ensure the vinyl will stick to the transfer paper when its time to remove the backing paper.
  2. Wipe down your wall with a lint free cloth to make sure you have removed any dust or particles
  3. Masking tape - BEFORE peeling ANYTHING off your decal use masking tape and position the decal where you want on your wall. Just tape one edge of your decal to make a kind of flap.
  4. Tricky part- Once you have everything where you want it flip your decal up and REMOVE THE BACKING FROM THE TRANSFER PAPER. Dont try to peel the transfer paper from the backing the vinyl doesnt like to lift like that. If you are having a problem with certain parts just smooth it down and try again. Also peel everything slowly and at an angle.
  5. Discard the backing and now you should have a piece of transfer paper still taped to the wall. Slowly smooth down your decal. Once everything is on the wall. Rub it well with your card and fingers. If your walls are textured make sure you work it into all the grooves of the wall.
  6. Fun part- Pick a corner of your decal and at a sharp angle slowly peel back the transfer paper. DONT PULL THE TRANSFER PAPER OFF. Instead you should be peeling it at a sharp angle and slowly working it back acros your decal. If a corner or piece doesnt want to stay down just smooth it back
  7. Now you have your decal on your wall smooth it over again gently with your fingers and make sure everything is sticking down.
  8. Finally you are finished! Stand back...admire your work...Snap a pic and it to us at sticky_Tatts@yahoo.com

Thanks everyone! If you have any questions or problems feel free to send us an e-mail @ Sticky_tatts@yahoo.com

Check back soon for some promos and new designs!
